Kresen Gul Hwel / The Creation Works

Prodigal UPG CIC is fundraising to build an accessible, residential, rehearsal studio in Par, Cornwall, that will centre around community co-design and engagement.

The Creation Works will be artistically, environmentally and economically sustainable. They will be fully accessible. Designed by Koha Architects, this residential rehearsal and development centre will offer:

  • A 12m x 10m x 6m high studio
  • A 10m x 10m outdoor rehearsal space
  • Accommodation for up to 8 people
  • A meeting space, kitchen & wet room
  • Gardens
  • Rainwater harvesting & recycling
  • A Solar powered building with electric vehicle charging

Situated 500m from a mainline train station connecting Par with everywhere from Penzance to Glasgow, and just 700m from a stunning beach and the South West Coast Path. But what makes Kresen Gul Hwel unique is a business plan that combines the very best conditions for making work with ongoing engagement for our local community.

The Creation Works will redefine how we ‘do engagement’ and it will export models of best practice nationally and internationally.
