[With Baltimore’s Station North Arts & Entertainment District, Commissioned by the British Council and the European Nations Cultural Institutions Cluster, Washington DC] 2012 (Six week residency in Baltimore, USA)

Asked to suggest ways of animating a large public space outside Penn Station, Baltimore, the UPGTeam suggested a series of mysterious architectural objects that could inspire movement and/or become employed as street furniture. Over the course of six weeks three objects were added to the site with a whole series of rehearsed and spontaneous choreographies being created through organised workshops and simple play. A final performance brought together TSU, Baltimore’s guardian’s of club dance, with the music of TT the Artitst, Voguer Marquis Clanton, skaters of the Baltimore Skate Park and trackers from the Baltimore Urban Evolution community.
